Don’t know if the shoe bed/insole is supposed to be a beige but it looks a bit discolored like when white is down and unused for a while.The reviews of it running large did not work for me. I wear a size ten normally and though my heel and big toe fit in the bed of the show, my third and fourth toes were resting on the edge of the top. I needed the shoe for recuperation of my broken fourth toe so it definitely couldn’t work for me.Apart from the shoe bed /insole looking a bit old, the rest of the shoe looked pristine.Even on my elderly mother's twisted, gnarled old feet, these shoes look good and help her to walk comfortably. Having inherited her foot structure, Birks are the only shoes that I can wear comfortably.
